 Kenstone Metal Co., Ltd. was established by Mr. Jay Yang in Taichung, Taiwan in 1979 and continues to operate as a family run business. Taichung is known as the center for the bicycle industry in Taiwan and Kenstone is conveniently located in the Taichung Industrial Park, minutes from downtown Taichung, the new high-speed rail station, and the Taichung port. Currently Kenstone serves over 36 customers located in countries around the world.
In 1996, to better serve our world-wide customer base, Kenstone Metal Co., Ltd., established a new production facility in the Shanghai area of China. Our offices in Taichung, Taiwan and Kun Shan, China, provide our customers with dual sourcing options based on your production requirements.
In addition to being known for IBD (Independent Bicycle Dealer) quality bicycle assembly, Kenstone Metal Co. has established a department in its Taichung headquarters to develop products custom tailored for our customers. Kenstone has teamed up with a leading supplier of aluminum tubing to develop a new lightweight scandium tubing that we can exclusively offer to our customers for the production of road and mountain bike frames.
Within the past year, Kenstone has also invested in a high-end custom steel frame production facility. More and more of our customers are returning to chrome-moly steel frames to meet the demand of new, emerging markets. Chrome-moly steel frames are finding new fans around the world as they blend the past with new styles of frames and Kenstone is on the fore front to help you develop your own frame to suit your market.
